Rotary International 3291 has entrusted us, Pathanam and The Education Trust with a mission- Eazy School 3 which is a pioneering initiative aimed at bridging the learning gap in foundational English and Arithmetic for rural students. We aim to do this through online classes for a period of 4 months with one 90 min class a week for a total of 16 classes only. All curriculum and training will be given to the teacher by Pathanam.
We would like to thankyou for joining us in this very uplifting venture by giving us teachers who would volunteer their time once a week. The advantages are manifold!
1. First and foremost is fulfilling a social responsibility through contribution to the empowerment of rural communities by uplifting their children’s education standards.
2. Teachers will learn to implement advanced teaching techniques for better learning outcome.
3. Teachers expertise will help elevate rural education standards and promote rich cultural exchanges between urban and rural communities.
4. The project will enhance professional as well as personal growth and development.

Purpose of Eazy School 3:
Rotary International District 3291, in collaboration with Pathanam and The Education Trust, has launched the Eazy School 3 mission to address the learning loss crisis experienced by rural students and teachers due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This initiative aims to bridge the gaps caused by insufficient training, lack of infrastructure, and economic challenges that led to school dropouts. Eazy School 3 offers solutions by providing experienced urban teachers who will teach foundational English (Course Name: #English) and foundational Arithmetic (Course Name: Effortless Arithmetic) to rural students from Classes 1 to 4. Each rural school is required to have at least two teachers who have experienced the effects of learning loss due to the pandemic.

Q1. Who will teach the students?
A1: One qualified, experienced teacher from an urban school will teach a batch of 35 rural students from Classes 1 to 4.
Q2. When will the classes be conducted?
A2: The timing is flexible. The rural school in charge will coordinate with the urban teacher to set a mutually convenient weekly class schedule.
Q3. What is the duration of one class?
A3: Each class is conducted once a week for 90 minutes over a period of 4 months.
Q4. What is the total duration of the course, including buffer time?
A4: The course lasts 4 months, with an additional 2 months of buffer time, making the total duration 6 months.

Q7. Does each student need a smartphone?
A7: There are two options for participating in the online classes:
• Option A: Each student needs access to a smartphone with an active internet connection.In such scenario the rural student can join the class from anywhere.
• Option B: The rural school can use a smart class facility or connect a laptop with a microphone and camera to a projector and screen with sound system or smart TV, allowing all students to participate in one classroom.
Q8. What is the minimum number of students required per batch?
A8: A minimum of 35 students from Classes 1 to 4 is required for each batch.
Q9. Can a rural school refer more than one batch?
A9: Yes, a rural school can refer multiple batches.

A19:
• Step 1: Send a consent email to sujoypathanam@gmail.com, including the school name, district, email, contact number, principal’s name and principal contact number, count of participating teachers ,Teacher contact number, and student count.
• Step 2: After sending the consent email, the school will receive a detailed email with three attachments:
1. Eazy School 3 rural school poster – To be printed and displayed on the school notice board for six months.
2. Consent form in Bengali – To be signed by parents of all participating students.
3. Student data excel sheet – To be filled out accurately and sent back to sujoypathanam@gmail.com.
( no other format will be accepted. )
• Step 3: Pathanam will create login IDs for students and teachers based on the submitted excel sheet and send it to the rural school.Tge Rural schools need to distribute the login ids individually to all students and teachers.
Q20. When will the online classes start?
A20: Classes will start after September 8, 2024.
Q21. How will a rural school know which mentor teacher is assigned to them?
A21: The rural school will receive this information from the Eazy School 3 coordinator .
Q22. What if a rural school needs to reschedule or postpone a class?
A22: Schools can reschedule or postpone classes with prior notice to the urban teacher. The urban teacher will also inform the school of any necessary changes.
Q23. What are the disqualification criteria?
A23:
• Incorrect behavior towards the mentor teacher.
• Failure to conduct classes on time.
• Unauthorized absenteeism by students.
• Absenteeism or late logins by rural teachers.
Q24. How many classes and lessons will be conducted?
A24: There will be a total of 16 classes: 8 on foundational English and 8 on foundational Arithmetic.
Q25. What are the certification criteria?
A25: Students must maintain 100% attendance and adhere to course requirements and assessments to receive certification.
Q26. Who will provide the certificates?
A26: Certificates will be provided by Rotary International District 3291, Pathanam, and The Education Trust.
