EACH TO TEACH MISSION
A Movement Where Every Child Lifts a Nation.
Before governments respond, before systems evolve, before institutions catch up, the children of India have taken charge.
1. Not through protests.
2. Not through demands.
But through the purest, most powerful act of humanity:
One Child Teaching Another.
The Each to Teach Mission, jointly powered by the Rotary Club of Calcutta, Pathanam, and The Education Trust, is rewriting the future of learning by connecting an urban middle school mentor with a rural primary school mentee.
Not because they belong to two worlds, but because they share one nation, one dream, one destiny.
1. This is learning reborn.
2. This is equality reimagined.
3. This is India rising, child by child.
WHY THIS MISSION HAD TO BE CREATED &
THE FIVE TRUTHS WE CAN NO LONGER IGNORE
English has become a barrier instead of a bridge.
- Rural children are not poor in intelligence; they are poor in exposure.
- Weak Foundation English blocks their access to textbooks, examinations, instructions—even confidence.
Digital literacy is now a survival skill—but rural primary learners are left behind.
- Urban children learn with screens, apps, videos and digital classrooms.
- Rural learners often touch a device only during Aadhaar enrollment. This gap is not academic—it is the new social divide.
The world is now AI-enabled—yet rural learners do not know AI exists.
- Urban children use AI for explanations, writing, problem-solving and creativity.
- Rural children do not know such tools could save their academics.
- Each To Teach introduces safe, age-appropriate AI Tools that empower them to learn and explore fearlessly.
Rural teachers are fighting an impossible battle without the right tools, training or systems.
Most rural teachers:
1. Lack digital fluency.
2. Lack training in modern teaching techniques.
3. Lack exposure to experiential learning or activity-based learning.
4. Cannot track daily progress because there is no transparent data system.
5. Can only conduct assessments when children fail to retain knowledge.
6. See students depend on private tuitions because classroom retention is low.
Not because teachers don’t care—
1. But because they were never given the tools or training to meet the demands of today’s learners.
2. This is not a teacher problem.
3. This is a system problem.
Each To Teach is one of the few missions directly addressing it.
The only scalable solution for India is the simplest: One child teaching another.
- A personalised bond.
- One mentor.
- One mentee.
- One hour.
- One lesson.
- One future lifted.
This is not a program
this is the answer India has been waiting for.
WHY RURAL SCHOOLS ACROSS DISTRICTS NEED THIS SOLUTION NOW
Across South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas, Murshidabad, the Sundarban belt and beyond thousands of rural schools face diverse challenges:
- Some lack trained teachers
- Some lack digital readiness
- Some lack English exposure
- Some lack infrastructure
- All lack customised, school-wise solutions
A one size fits all approach cannot rescue rural learning today.
What they need is a precise solution, tailor made for each rural school’s condition and this becomes possible only when:
- The right technology (Pathanam KMS) meets
- The right resource (urban English medium school mentors)
- Urban schools carry the academic strength.
- Rural schools carry the desire to grow.
- Technology carries the bridge.
- Each to Teach ensures that every rural school gets exactly the support it needs, not what the system assumes.
This is learning justice.
A VISION THAT UNITES INDIA WITHOUT DIVIDING IT
Each To Teach removes the invisible line between “Opportunity” and “Lack”.
A child in Kolkata sees a child in Noorpur, Haroa, Chandaneshwar or Gopalpur village
not as Rural,
not as Different,
but as a Friend, a Partner, and a Fellow Learner.
This is not urban helping rural.
This is India helping India.
Weekly two live sessions on the Pathanam Knowledge Management System allow mentors to teach Foundation English, Digital Skills and safe Artificial Intelligence (AI),
while mentees gain clarity, confidence and courage along with experiential learning and digital fluency.
This is not tutoring.
This is nation building.
